This elegant, mid-Victorian platinum ring would be a perfect alternative engagement ring for some lucky person, or, a gorgeous dinner/cocktail ring. It was completely handmade in the 19th century and sports a beautiful cognac colored diamond of old European cut and VS1 inclusion. This unusual diamond weighs approximately 175/100 carats and is set in 8 prongs. The golden-orangey brownish hues of the cognac diamond are reflected in the undulating lines of the ring, which is further enhanced by 26 additional old European cut diamonds with a total approximate wight of 162/100 carats. The additional diamonds are bead set (20 diamonds), prong set (2 diamonds) and bezel set (4 diamonds). The total approximate weight of all 27 diamonds is 337/100 carats.

This most unusual, one-of-a-kind piece was made for one of the grande dames of Buffalo society in approximately 1870. We are told it brought her a great deal of pleasure, and we are certain some lucky lady will feel the same way!

This ring is currently a size 3 3/4 but can be sized in our own workroom to fit you comfortably.
