Antique 14 Karat Gold Garnet Locket

This antique 14 karat gold garnet locket (circa 1870) is an exceptional find! Made of solid 14 karat yellow gold, this Victorian locket features a beautifully detailed scallop motif. The locket measures 37.5 millimeters from top to bottom, inclusive of a handmade bale. The body of the piece measures 22 millimeters round.

The locket is bead set with a fine round natural garnet measuring approximately 4 millimeters. This shimmering, deep red gemstone is placed in the center of a star.

The locket is finished with a beautiful and sturdy 14 karat yellow gold bead chain necklace. Each bead measures 1.8 millimeters, and the chain measures 18 inches long inclusive of a lobster claw catch.
