This pink gold beauty dates back to the mid 19th century (approximately 1860) and is prong set with six old European cut circular golden citrine in closed back mountings. The center stones measure 6 millimeters and graduated down to 5.5 millimeters at the ends. This piece retains the original 12 Oriental (natural) half pearls and its original 19th century closure. The pin measures slightly under 1-1/2 inches long and 1/3 of an inch wide (8 millimeters). This 150 year old pin is in excellent shape, all the prongs and original stones are intact and it is a remarkably handsome Victorian bar pin. If you wish, this could easily be converted to a pendant by removing the pin back and adding a bale so that the piece drops vertically from a chain. This piece is well made and substantial in weight.
