Gold Bead Necklace

This charming 14K yellow gold antique necklace is so similar to those often seen in classic 19th century portrait paintings. Its aristocratic flare is elegant yet eminently understated. It is composed of 5mm extra heavy gold beads, strung on its original foxtail chain. The beads are very substantial in weight. The necklace, inclusive of a catch hidden in three beads, measures 14 1/2 inches long... the perfect length for everyday wear. It was made by hand about 130 years ago.
