Vintage 14 Karat White Gold Shell Cameo Pin

This vintage 14 karat white gold cameo pin is a truly classic piece. Handmade of solid 14 karat white gold, the frame of this piece is hand engraved with fine detail. The exterior of the piece creates a bold geometric shape which contrasts nicely with the rounded and delicate cameo. Made circa 1920, the metalwork on this brooch was fabricated entirely by hand, not cast from wax.

The center of this pin features a hand carved brown conch shell cameo depicting a classical lady in profile. The lady is wearing a classical Greek style gown and is adorned with leaves on her shoulder. The cameo is bezel set in a solid 14 karat white gold bezel.

This cameo pin features its original 14 karat white gold pinback. This piece can easily be converted to be worn as both a pin and pendant, or, just a pendant. The piece measures 1 1/2" by 1 1/4" and is in excellent condition even a century after its creation.
