Custom Platinum and 18 Karat Gold Ruby and Diamond Ring

How gorgeous is this custom platinum and 18 karat gold ruby and diamond ring? This ring was handmade for a client as an engagement ring. The client loved our three stone platinum ring with a 1 carat oval diamond but wanted something with some color, so we suggested this gorgeous natural oval cut ruby!

The ruby weighs almost 1 1/4 carats and is prong set in an 18 karat yellow gold setting. The yellow gold accentuates the color of the ruby while also making for a beautiful contrast to the platinum mounting. Prong set on either side of the ruby is a natural half moon cut diamond of very fine quality. Both diamonds are of top white color (E), absolutely eye clean (VS1) and weighing totally over 1/3 carat.
