This vintage dome ring (circa 1980) was most likely executed by hand in New York City at the end of the 70's or the beginning of the 80's. It is done in a classic East-West pattern and prong set with a charming oval cabochon emerald measuring 5 1/2 millimeters by 7 1/2 millimeters and weighing just under one carat. The emerald could be removed, credited and another gemstone of your choice set in its place. We would suggest a beautiful cabochon cut blue sapphire, although any colored stone or diamond would look beautiful in this elegant mounting.

Flanking each side of the emerald is a 14 karat white gold crescent-shaped plate. Each crescent is set with 3 brilliant cut diamonds. The total weight of all 6 fine diamonds is approximately 16/100 carat.

This ring was produced at a time when craftsmen cared about the way things were made and gold was much cheaper. Thus, it is very substantial in weight and well constructed.

The ring is currently a size 6 but could be sized to fit you comfortably.
