Custom Pear Shaped Diamond and Sapphire Toi et Moi Ring

We made this custom pear shaped diamond and sapphire toi et moi ring as an engagement ring for a client. Their request was for a toi et moi ring that could incorporate a diamond and sapphire in such a way that they were not facing away from one another. The result is this unique, one-of-a-kind ring which will stand the test of time.

The ring is handmade in 14 karat yellow gold, with handmade platinum basket settings. The natural pear-shaped diamond is of white color (I), eye-clean with slight inclusion (SI2) and weighing just under a carat. The natural pear-shaped blue sapphire is of a deep, Ceylon blue color, weighing just over a carat. Both gems complement each other perfectly.
