Custom Yellow Gold Moonstone and Ruby Earrings

These custom yellow gold moonstone and ruby earrings were specially made for a client. They were created from a brooch the client had which was no longer suitable for wear. We took the components and created for her a brand new pendant and earrings. We think the results are a complete success!

The earrings are bead set with a pair of round moonstone cabochons of fine quality. Each moonstone is lively and catches the light in such a beautiful way. Each moonstone is surrounded by 14 natural round cut rubies (56 rubies in total). The deep red rubies create a wonderful contrast of color and tone, making for a very unique pair of earrings.

The natural gems are set in their original 14 karat yellow gold mountings. We repaired, cleaned up and added connecting rings and earring posts to the pieces so that they can be worn as stud earrings.
