This vintage 14 karat gold heavy rope style diamond ring is a fun and unusual piece. Made of solid 14 karat yellow gold sometime in the 80's or 90's, this ring is substantial in weight and very well made. The shoulders of the ring feature a bold rope style motif which give this piece great visual weight. The ring measures 7.3 millimeters at its widest point and tapers to 2.1 millimeters at the bottom of the shank.
The center of the ring is set with a round brilliant cut diamond in a solid 14 karat white gold six prong head. This natural diamond is of top white color (G), slight inclusion (SI1) and weighs just under 1/3 carat. The ring is additionally channel set with eight straight baguette cut diamonds. The baguette diamonds are of matching color and clarity to the brilliant cut diamond and weigh approximately 20/100 carat in total. The total approximate weight of all nine diamonds is 1/2 carat.
This ring is currently a size 6 1/2 but could be sized to fit you comfortably. Although several decades old, it is in pristine condition with no signs of wear. This is the perfect engagement ring for those who love 80's/90's design!
